HANOI, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) -- The 2018 Hanoi International Film Festival kicked off here on Saturday, with over 200 sessions of screening films of many countries.

The first film screened at the four-day festival on Saturday is Shoplifters of Japan, and the last is Fantastic Woman of Chile.

Other films include Anna Karenina: Vronsky's Story of Russia, The Dark Room of Iran, Pupa of India, Silent Night of Poland, Eva of France and Salt Is Leaving the Sea of Indonesia.

On the sidelines of the festival, seminars, an exhibition, a script-writing camp and a marketplace for film-making projects will be held.
