TEHRAN, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) -- Iran's Zob Ahan soccer team lost to Saudi side Al Ittihad 2-1 in the first leg of the 2019 AFC Champions League Round of 16, Tasnim news agency reported on Tuesday.

Zob Ahan suffered their first defeat on Monday night at the 2019 AFC Champions League, having won three and drawn three matches in the group stage.

The winner between Zob Ahan and Al Ittihad will face either Al Ahli Saudi FC or Al Hilal SFC in the quarter-finals.

The return leg will be played on August 12.
