BEIJING, July 6 (Xinhua) -- Dresden Kreuzchor, one of the world's oldest boys' choirs, will be staged in the National Center for the Performing Arts on July 9.

With its name first mentioned in the early 13th century, the boys' choirs will bring a 110-minute-long concert which includes a wide range of music like Bach's Der Geist, John Rutter's It Was A Lover and His Lass and folk songs from Sweden, Italy and Finland.

Based in the German city Dresden, the 800-year-old choir has been invited to perform outside the Europe in places such as Israel, Canada, Japan and the United States. Their extensive art works have been documented in numerous recordings.

The choir now has about 130 young singers aged 9 to 18 and is regarded as the most popular ambassador of Dresden.
