YANGON, May 28 (Xinhua) -- Four miners were killed with four others injured in a coal mine explosion in Myanmar's Sagaing region, according to the Information Ministry Tuesday.

The blast occurred at a coal mining site owned by Htoo Han Thit mining company in Kale township on Monday night.

The fatal blast took place when the methane gas contacted with the spark created during the operation.

The injured were sent to the Kalewa General Hospital for treatment.
