WINDHOEK, March 21 (Xinhua) -- Namibian quartet of A-class musicians, King TeeDee, Elemotho, Vaughn Ahrens and Ras Sheehama thrilled revellers Wednesday night at a pre-independence day performance in the capital of Windhoek.

Dubbed the Independence Concert, the performance by Namibia's four top musicians drew a large crowd willing to brace the warm weather for a performance under the stars.

Leading the pack were well-travelled King TeeDee and Elemotho who were backed by Vaughn Ahrens and legendary Ras Sheehama who is popular for his reggae fusion.

Elemotho serenaded revellers with his music both in vernacular Motswana and in English which left many singing along, while Sheehama impressed the audience with his traditional songs reminiscent of the country's struggle of independence.

Perhaps it was the ballads of a crooning Ahrens, coupled with his spectacular presence on stage which most delighted those in attendance.
