COLOMBO, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- Sri Lanka's adverse weather of strong winds and heavy rains will ease on Tuesday with fair weather prevailing over the island country, the Meteorology Department said in its latest weather report.

However, showers or thundershowers will occur at a few places in Ratnapura, in south central Sri Lanka and Kalutara and Matara districts in the south, after Tuesday afternoon.

Kurunegala, in north western Sri Lanka will face the maximum temperature of 34.5 degrees centigrade while the central highlands of Nuwera Eliya will face the minimum temperature of 9.2 degrees centigrade.
