CHICAGO, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) corn and soybean futures traded lower on Tuesday morning as dry weather conditions will facilitate harvest in the U.S. Midwest.

As of 1515 GMT, the most active December corn was down 4 cents at 3.7425 dollars per bushel, and December wheat was up 0.75 cent at 5.2575 dollars, while November soybeans were down 8.5 cents at 8.83 dollars per bushel.

Harvest delays due to wet weather conditions in the U.S. Midwest pushed up prices of CBOT corn and soybeans sharply in the past three sessions.

According to the U.S. National Weather Service, as much as six times the normal amount of rain fell in parts of the Midwest and plains in the two weeks through Friday.

The central U.S. weather forecast indicates improving harvest conditions with dry weather for the northern plains and parts of the Midwest for the next 10 to 12 days. Enditem
