DOHA, June 6 (Xinhua) -- A Qatari official said all parties concerned in the ongoing Gulf diplomatic crisis may meet in the U.S. in September under the mediation of Kuwait, state-run Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported late Tuesday.

The news was revealed by Lulwah Al Khater, official spokeswoman of Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on the sidelines of a seminar held by Qatar University on Tuesday night.

"But whether it will take place or not depends on the blockading countries, whose behavior was unfortunately unpredictable in the past," she said at the seminar titled "A Year into the Siege: the Reality and Aftermath."

Qatar will also file a complaint to the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination on the social damage the diplomatic rift has caused to the Qatari people, Al Khater added.

Qatar, however, has overcome the economic sanctions through diversifying sources of supply, the Qatari spokeswoman noted.

It has been a year since the Arab quartet of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt, severed diplomatic, trade and transport links to gas-rich Qatar, accusing it of supporting terrorism and extremism, which Doha has repeatedly denied.
