BUENOS AIRES, March 2 (Xinhua) -- An Argentinean court has called an oral hearing for the investigation into former president Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner (2007-2015) for the alleged crime of "illicit association," the Center for Judicial Information (CIJ) announced Friday.

According to the center, which is attached to the Supreme Court, Fernandez de Kirchner is being investigations for favoring her friends with public contracts.

The oral hearing against Fernandez de Kirchner will begin on April 26, and a date will then be set for the trial.

Fernandez de Kirchner is accused of handing over contracts worth millions of dollars to a construction company Austral Construcciones for public works, including the building of roads.

As part of the investigation, the former president and current senator's assets worth 500 million U.S. dollars have been frozen.

She categorically denies any crime, saying that she is "neither a friend nor a commercial partner" of the company.
