JAKARTA, Feb. 8 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian shuttlers have vowed to defeat their opponents from India in the final of Group D at the Badminton Team Asia Championships 2018.

Manager of Indonesian team Susi Susanti made the remarks on Thursday.

Susi said that men's doubles provide a big opportunity to get points.

"India is strong in singles, but we are better in doubles, both in men's and women's. I have stressed this to our players," she was quoted by Juara media as saying in Malaysia.

The Badminton Team Asia Championships 2018 kicked off on Tuesday and will end on February 11 in Alor Setar, Malaysia.

The event is organized by Badminton Asia Confederation and serves as Asian qualification for the Thomas Cup and Uber Cup 2018.
