WINDHOEK, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa, who was in Namibia Monday for a one-day working visit, said that Zimbabweans working or living in the diaspora will not be able to vote in his country's elections scheduled for some time this year.

The 75-year-old president, who took over power from long-serving ruler Robert Mugabe last November after a bloodless coup, said his country does not have the capacity to allow those in the diaspora to vote.

"How I would like you to vote, but truth is you won't be able to vote. We don't have the logistics and capability to have our people in the diaspora to vote. Time will come when we shall have the capacity for our people to vote from the diaspora, but for now bad luck," Mnangagwa said while addressing about 350 Zimbabwean business people.
