TBILISI, Dec. 17 (Xinhua) -- Georgia's two main international airports in Tbilisi and Batumi saw record passenger traffic in 2025, RIA Novosti cited airport operator TAV Georgia as saying on Wednesday.

According to the company, passenger numbers at Tbilisi International Airport surpassed 5 million for the first time, rising 13 percent from last year, while Batumi International Airport's travelers exceeded 1 million so far this year, recording an over 30 percent yearly increase.

Combined traffic at the two airports has topped 6.3 million and is expected to reach about 6.6 million by the end of this year.

Both airports witnessed record daily passengers in August, during the peak summer travel season. ■
