PRAGUE, March 14 (Xinhua) -- The last batch of pigs were relocated from the Lety pig farm in south Bohemia, Czech Republic on Wednesday morning, said the farm's operator AGPI.

The Czech government had been criticized by domestic and international organizations for the pig farm, which was built in the place of a former Nazi concentration camp for the Roma.

Czech government approved the purchase of Lety pig farm in August 2017. Following a sales contract signed with Czech government, AGPI will hand the premises to the state at the end of the month, where a memorial to the Roma Holocaust will be set up. The memorial is to resemble the former WWII Roma camp and will be connected with the existing commemorative site in Lety.

Czech Culture Ministry spokeswoman Simona Cigankova said on Wednesday that Norway has expressed interest in supporting the establishment of the Roma Holocaust memorial in Lety with one million euros (about 1.24 U.S. dollars) from the Norway Grants.
